Eva Irene Regions

Eva Irene Regions, 92, joined her Lord in Heaven on August 27, 2006. Her struggle with cancer ended peacefully; her eternal life has begun. Funeral services will be held at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, La., Wednesday, August 30th at 10 am. Dr. Ira Campbell officiating with Rev. Theron Jones assisting. Burial will follow at Strange Cemetery in Readhimer, LA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 pm Tuesday, August 29th.. Irene was born in Jamestown, LA, but lived most her life in Natchitoches after marrying Joseph Marion "Mace" Regions in 1937. They had two children, Billy Mace and Marjorie Lamar. Irene is preceded in death by her husband, parents David and Willie White of Jamestown, three sisters and eight brothers. Irene dedicated her life to making a home for her family; it often smelled of baked cakes and cookies and was always surrounded by her garden flowers. Afternoon was her favorite time of day to drink coffee with her many friends. Irene is survived by her son Billy Mace and wife Mariea Regions of Campti and her daughter Marjorie Regions McInnis and husband Bill of Shreveport; seven grandchildren: Shawn Regions of Shreveport, Scott McInnis of Shreveport, John Richard Ramien of Shreveport, Macie McInnis Jepson of Plano, Texas, Chad Ramien of Natchitoches, Shane Regions of Campti, and Evan McInnis of Tyler, Texas. Great-grandchildren: Lauren Panzer of Elm Grove, Michala and Victoria Jepson of Plano, Texas, Meaghan and Mason McInnis of Denton, Texas and Abigail Ramien of Natchitoches. Honoring Irene as pallbearers are Evan McInnis, Chad Ramien, Gary Jepson, David Dobson, Richard Noles, Edward White and Claude White, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Shawn Regions, Shane Regions, Lamar White, Jr., and Billy Black. .
