Milam "Possum" DeWitt

Graveside services honoring the life of DeWitt ”Possum” Milam will be held Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 10 AM at The Cotton Valley Cemetery in Cotton Valley, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lee Dickson. DeWitt was born February 10, 1935 in Cotton Valley, LA to Nobel and Eula Milam and passed away on August 10, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jack Milam, and son-in law, Larry Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Emogene Young Milam ; a daughter, Toni Brewer, of Allen TX; one son, Jerome Milam and wife Pattie of Nederland ,TX; five grandchildren, Blake, Natalie, and Marcus Brewer, Heather Loafman and husband Matthew, and Elizabeth Milam; one brother, Billy Ray Milam and wife Ruth of Natchitoches; a sister-in-law, Mary Milam, of Odessa, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6-8PM on Friday, August 11, 2006 at Blanchard St..Denis in Natchitoches.
