A service to honor the life of Mrs. Lorene Oxley will be 10 am Monday, September 16, 2013 at Rocky Mount Congregational Methodist Church in Robeline, LA. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 pm on Sunday the 15th until service time Monday at the church. Mrs. Lorene Oxley passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2013 in Many, LA. She was born August 5, 1931 to Peter and Murtie (Sims) Broadway in Robeline, LA. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Faye Powell, Delores Ivy, Ima Dubois, Alice Broadway, and Julius Broadway. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Danny Oxley and his wife Sherron of Robeline and Harold “Dean” Oxley and his wife Tammy of Robeline; siblings, Peter Calvin Broadway, Jr. of Robeline, Jerry Broadway of Natchitoches, James Albert Broadway of Robeline, Curtis Alvin Broadway of Robeline, Barbara Nell Jordan of Robeline and Linda Cobb of Robeline. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, Wendy Davis, Mandy Sawyer, Eric Oxley, Sherry Scott, Tracy Williams, K C Oxley, Tiffany Oxley, Jarrett Oxley, Crystal Lodrigue, Rachael Broadway, Kurt Ezernack, Cassie Bell, Courtney Bell, and Kaden Ezernack; and 17 great grandchildren.
