Charles C. Cox

Charles Columbus Cox, age 86, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007, at his home in Natchitoches, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, September 24, 2007. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2007 , with Rev. Carroll Marr and Rev. Dean Hedrick officiating. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. Mr Charles was the owner and operator of Tom's Peanuts Inc. for thirty plus years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a very family oriented man, and was very dedicated to his wife of over 60 years. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Natchitoches. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cox and Annie Gregory Cox; and one son, Charles Darrell Cox. He is survived by his wife Lurline Cox; one daughter, Shirley Cox Fair and husband Rex of Natchitoches, LA; four grandchildren, Tanya Fair Marr and husband Carroll of Fort Worth, TX, Darla Webb and husband Mike of Natchitoches, LA, Kip Fair and wife Brooke of Natchitoches, LA, and Cade Cox of Washington State; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Daisy Moore and husband John Wesley of Pleasant Hill, LA and Mary Scharf and husband Frank of Roanoke, VA.
