Graveside service for Jessive Edwards Howard will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Rachal Cemetery at Marco, La. with Rev. Matthew Pagels officiating, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 9 AM until 10 AM in the funeral home. Mrs. Howard, 83, of Provencal, La., died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation in Natchitoches, La. She was a native of Natchitoches, La. She was a homemaker and a member of Provencal United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Howard; six brothers and six sisters; parents, Thomas Edwards and Josephine Taurus Edwards; the father of her three daughters, Bruce Sponie. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Bennett of Clovis, NM, Lynn 'Linda' Vance of Tucson, Az., and Sandra Thomas of Dayton, Oh.; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Teresa, Michelle, Jennifer, Eibhilin, Ben, Melanie, Matthew, Amanda.
