Jerry Lynn Grigsby

Jerry Lynn Grigsby was born September 5, 1950 in Natchitoches, Louisiana. His parents were Enlow & Addie Lou Grigsby, and his oldest brother is Bob Grigsby. Jerry received his Associate in Science Degree in Mechanical Equipment Technology Motor Vehicle option with all honors from Delgado College in New Orleans, Louisiana on the fifth day of June, nineteen-hundred and seventy. After graduation, Jerry went to work at General Electric Company as a final inspection operator. In the summer of 1971, Jerry met a girl by the name of Pamela Marie Dubea from Marksville, Louisiana in front of his house in Natchitoches. When their eyes first met it was love at first sight. Jerry and Pam were married, soon after on August 13, 1971 in Keithville, LA. On June 6, 1975, Jerry and Pam gave birth to their first-born child Jennifer Kay Grigsby. Four years later, Jerry, Pam, and Jennifer welcomed their new edition to the family Melanie Renee' Grigsby. Many years later, Jerry and Pam became Nana and Papa. Their daughter Jennifer gave birth to their first grandchild on August 15, 1993, Destiny Alane Bass. A year and a half later, came their first grandson Dustin Kyle Bass. Many years later, Jerry and Pam were blessed with another grandson Jagger Ty Parker on September 9, 2004. Jerry had many years' experience in the automotive industry. He went from General Electric to Wray Ford then to A.B. Transmissions until he opened his own business Grigsby Automotive in Keithville Louisiana. All the experience he acquired led him to a field of teaching others at Louisiana Technical College in Natchitoches Louisiana. This is the career Jerry finally retired from. He loved teaching his students, and helping people. Jerry was a kind, thoughtful, and generous man that was loved by everyone who knew him. He was married to the love of his life for 46 years, and was an honest and loyal husband. He cherished his family, and always guided and pushed his girls to be the best person they could ever be in life. He adored his grand kids and only wanted the very best for them. But most of all he loved the LORD and wanted everyone to get to know Him better. He will be missed by many people, and will always be loved. Survived by his wife Pamela D. Grigsby, daughters Jennifer Kay Grigsby Desselle and Melanie Renee' Grigsby, grandchildren Destiny Bass Vascocu and Jagger Ty Parker, brother Bob Grigsby, niece Pamela Grisby Allen, nephews Jeff Grigsby and Tim Grigsby. Precedents in death father Enlow Grigsby, mother Addie Lou Fedrick Grigsby, grandson Dustin Kyle Bass. A wake will be held at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, 2017 between 5 pm and 8 pm, and funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Abundant Life Worship Center located 1813 Ashland Rd. Coushatta, LA, burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Cemetery on Mansfield Road in Shreveport, LA. Pallbearers are as the following: Robert Bamburg, Dan Fedrick, James "Jimmy" Bamburg, Jonathan Desselle, Jennifer Desselle, and Jagger Parker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Abundant Life Worship Center.
